Every child’s needs are different, and their care should be too. Our team takes a whole-child approach to feeding, speech, oral function and development, working together to understand what’s contributing to your child’s concerns and create a personalized plan for care.

How We Care for the Whole Child

Children don't develop in isolated systems.

The way they eat, breathe, communicate, sleep, and grow are all connected. That's why our providers work together across specialties to identify the root cause of concerns and create individualized treatment plans that support long-term success. Whether your child needs one service or several, you'll have a team committed to helping them reach their fullest potential.

Frenectomy Care for Tongue-Tie and Lip-Tie

Feeding, lactation and oral-motor support before and after a tongue-tie or lip-tie release, centered on your child's comfort and function.

A frenectomy is a procedure that releases a tight or restrictive piece of tissue under the tongue or inside the lip. You may hear this referred to as a tongue-tie release or lip-tie release. But seeing a tongue-tie or lip-tie does not automatically mean your child needs a procedure. What matters most is how your child is functioning. That means looking at things like feeding, latch, tongue movement, comfort and how your child is using the muscles of the mouth.

Feeding Therapy & Support

Support for babies and children with feeding, eating and oral-motor concerns, with care built around your child and your family.

Feeding therapy helps babies and children develop the skills they need to eat and drink safely, comfortably and successfully. And it is about much more than getting a child to "just take another bite." Our team looks at the many pieces that can affect feeding, including oral movement, coordination, sensory preferences, feeding experiences and your child's developmental skills. Depending on your child's needs, feeding therapy may work on breast and bottle feeding, sucking and oral coordination, chewing skills, moving food around the mouth, drinking from cups or straws, transitioning to solid foods, exploring new foods and textures, expanding food variety, building comfort and confidence around meals, oral-motor strength and coordination, and feeding skills before or after a tongue-tie or lip-tie release. Every child is different, so every feeding plan should be different too.
